Lawrence-  KIPP Academy - Lynn Charter School took home both the men's and women's titles, but great showings by Community Day highlighted a great weekend of basketball.

    The Lady Spartans led by All Tournament Team selections, Yakaira Capellan and Elemy Colome, secured the #1 seed going into Championship Sunday.  They dominated the competition, but fell to KIPP in their 5th consecutive finals appearance.  This is a new tournament record.

   The men had a tougher road over the weekend, but performed wonderfully on Sunday by winning their first round game18-5 against Boston Prep, before falling to the eventual winner, KIPP Academy in the second round.   Hassan Ng, Jamal Martinez and Cristhian Reyes played very well throughout the tournament.
